Dennis Hippe is a Master's student in Film Studies at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 2021 from JGU in Film Studies and Audiovisual Publishing with a thesis on aesthetic experience in cinema entitled "Film in der breiten Gegenwart. Ästhetisches Erscheinen als auratisierende Präsenz." [Film in the Broad Present. Aesthetic Appearance as Auratic Presence.]

Since 2020, he has also been studying in the interdisciplinary study program Q+, where he has been a research assistant since October 2021. In addition, he was a research assistant in Everyday Media and Digital Cultures from May 2022 until May 2023.
