Contents
Starting from individual examples, which are dealt with in the coordinated courses, there is an introduction to the thematic fields of cultural analysis, to central concepts, theories, and methods. The integrated module program is distributed over the winter and summer semester in thematic units such as Mediality and Perception; Ritual and Text; City and Public Space; Politics of Representation; Digital Cultures; Theatricality and Embodiment; as well as Memory Cultures.In each unit, relevant concepts of cultural analysis will be practiced starting from thematic articles. To this end, selected texts are read intensively and discussed in the reading course („PS“). In the associated lecture („VL“), the thematic individual examples are placed in larger methodological, theoretical and content-related contexts.
